A nice feature for 4.1 or future version would be the ability to have a visual indicator in the site tree (different icon, badge, etc.) that would indicate that a page has its "Hide from navigation?" set to true. This would allow an admin to easily determine what pages are hidden from navigation, etc.
I honestly don't think this should be a core request, as this would bloat the system completely (what if everyone would start asking for different icons based on values of properties), and there's already support to do yourself oob. Just subscribe to the AfterNodeRender event and change icon accordingly.
