    Vijay,

Have you installed umbraco with Runway?

    Or installed Warren's CWS package?

I suggest you installed Warren's package and then look at some of his XSLT as a starting point, also Google is your friend, just Google XSLT examples and you will find a lot of information.

Try looking at the W3C School XSLT Tutorial.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi Vijay,

I suggest you actually try and write some basic XSLT following the tutorials you can find online ( like the one mentioned above )

Actually writing code is definitely the best way to learn :)

Also see if you can buy a copy of this book: Beginning XSLT and XPATH: Transforming XML Documents and Data

I have it on my desk as a reference which I find very useful, don't buy the newer version as it talks about XSLT 2 which is not supported by Umbraco so not a lot of use to you :)

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi Vijay,

I think you should pay for a month's subscription to Umbraco TV, there is a video specifically related to creating your first Umbraco Macro and I think you will find this very useful and well work the few dollars for the month's subscription.

    http://umbraco.org/documentation/videos/for-site-builders/foundation/creating-your-first-xslt-macro

I have given you a lot of examples that should help you and the rest you can find if you look at the "how to" section of the Wiki and use Google when you get stuck, there are hundreds of pages on the web if you look for them :)

    Cheers,

    Chris

Another tip I would leave for you is pickup the O'Reilly XSLT (Mastering XML Transformations) 2nd Edition book. It is a GREAT resource if you're a newbie to XSLT. IT gives a very comprehensive set of examples that the author builds upon throughout the entire book.
