    Customise back office validation messages

    Hi
    Is there a way to customise the back office validation messages? For required fields I get various messages:

    • date: "Property has errors"
    • textstring: "Value cannot be empty"
    • regex: "Value is invalid, it does not match the correct pattern"

    Is there a way to customise these messages?

    I guess there isn't any straight forward solution to this. Not sure if anyone can suggest something.

    This is just a complete shot in the dark...

    But those strings are probably coming from some internal umbraco JS, do a search for those strings in the whole site (may use something like agent ransack) if you find them, just change them and see what happens.

    I forget exactly what my requirement was back in 2015 but I'm thinking I probably wanted different messages depending on which property it was, not just which type of property it was.
