    Flash Media Type Bug?

    Hi Guys 2 questions..

    when I create more than 2 levels of folder in the media section I can no longer create media of type Flash..

     

    I was also wondering how i'd begin going about creating my own custom media type.

    Hi Tom,

    Do you have any third party Packages installed for flash? Umbraco does not come out of the box with a Flash media type.
    Maybe check that the folder media type has Flash as an allowed child nodetype.

    You can create a custom media type in the "Settings" section under "Media Types". Just right click create like normal, and use the Image media type as a guide. Make sure you modify the folder media type to Allow child nodetypes of your new Media Type.

    Hi Neil,

    yes thanks so much.. i had completely had a brain freeze and forgotten to allow the flash media type to be created under the folder media type
