    Custom eCommerce extension

    hi,

    we currently have an eCommerce solution for our customer but are looking at integrating it with a CMS, are there any extensions or services that umbraco has that would allow us to integrate? i'm aware that there are already eCommerce solutions but we need to stick with the one we have at the minute

    does anyone have an experience with doing this?

    There are lots of hook to build an integration between Umbraco and the ecommerce solution you have in place already, but take it from someone who's built this route of integration: it's a lot if work.

    It depends of course on the level of integration you need. If you just need front-end integration in place, it can be achieved with a low level of effort.

    However, if you need full back-end integration it's a whole different story. You can easily spend a couple of months making it happen.

    What is the nature of the intrusion you require? Front-end, back-end, something different?

    we might be able to get away with only front end stuff as the eCommerce solution we use already has its own backend office, do you know where i could find the documentation for the integration we could do?
