Hey.
I just installed the latest version of Umbraco.
I started by setting the usual permissions, but I get a "Scripting file could not be saved" error (popup on right bottom).
I tried giving "Everyone" full control on all folders and subfolders of the Umbraco install.
This changes nothing :-(
Is there a bug in the new version or something? How do I solve the problem?
Thank you.K.
Hi K
Make sure that network service and iusr has full permissions. Does this help?

This is weird...
As soon as I add at least 1 document type it is working :-D (previously all was empty since it is a fresh install).
So problem solved, got to add some dummy content before creating a macro...
K.
Yeah, its a little known fact that umbraco doesnt like to be empty, had the same problem but fixed it by publishing a page under content.
is working on a reply...
