When a page on my website loads 3 razor macros build the top navigation, side navigation and breadcrum. I have set the Caching Period to a week and selected to cache by page. Since the navigation doesnt change very often this works for me. The problem is that when I re-publish a page on my site, the cache for all other pages is also reset.

Is there any way to prevent this?

To put it shortly: I don't think so. There is no way you can tweak the cache.
