Xslt menu not working in preview

    Hello,

I've got a menu which is working when I view the page normally, but when I view the page in preview mode the menu is missing data. I've already read this post: http://our.umbraco.org/forum/using/ui-questions/10881-How-is-preview-in-45-meant-to-work#comment39931 so I'm starting the preview from the top node.

The menu documenttype has all the properties (like umbracoNaviHide) filled, but these elements are empty in the preview mode. All the attritubutes are filled correctly. I'm running on Umbraco 4.5.2. Does anybody else have this problem or know how to solve it?

Can you give a bit more detail about what is missing exactly? If I look at the site using preview mode, I don't get the badge and the nodes in the menu are ordered incorrectly (read: different to the published site) but the menu appears to render correctly and all the expected nodes are there.

What page are you previewing? It's about the extra languages that where added. If I preview the unpublished DK node the menu is not appearing. I'm missing all the elements of the menu documenttype: menuTitle, umbracoNaviHide, hideInMenu etc. Because hideInMenu is empty the xpath won't work because it's using [hideInMenu=0].

I'm looking at the same thing now. This is a fully unpublished content tree, and all of the data for the child nodes is empty in the preview XML. All the nodes are there as they are in the content tree, but none of the content is present.

You can see the temporary XML in ~/AppData/preview (as you probably know).

The wrinkle in this is that you can only preview the site if you click on the top unpublished node in the tree; and in this case that node 301s to its first child.

Looks a lot like a bug to me, unless this is expected behaviour for unpublished content.

I think it's the same bug as this: http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/29952. Please vote for it.

    Guys,

If 452 then have you tried using super preview package http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/cogworks-super-preview
