Following the video "Macro Parameters" - very first practical Umbraco experience for me - I follow the video, creating macros in XSLT - but the macro output won't visualize in the homepage - the macro in editor does not insert as it should at cursor, but instead at top of page.
I followed the video slavishly - so.......
Could it be some permission somewhere? Database? It's is the latest Umbbraco version. Installed on Unoeuro webhosting.......
Not sure exactly what you mean - but I can say the procces is exactly as in the video - with the same popup windows and the same procedure - everything looks exactly as in the video - except as I said, the yellow macro appears on top of the editor page instead of at the cursor, under the bolded text , before pressing "the orange icon" ........
Maybe you could try going into the HTML view of your richtext editor, then cut the macro snippet and paste it where you want it to be in the editor. Does that help?
But it should also be possible to place the macro using the editor instead of using the html view button. But sometimes it's a bit sensitive so if this happens again you know the workaround :-)

Hi Jacob
Could you post a screendump on how it looks when you're inserting into the RTE field?

Hi Jakob
Good to hear you got it solved.
But it should also be possible to place the macro using the editor instead of using the html view button. But sometimes it's a bit sensitive so if this happens again you know the workaround :-)

Cool Jakob! Yeah, that's was a quite easy workaround.
If you'll you mark an answer as the solution it would be great :)
