    Macro for homepage slider...pick images from media folder or any folder of root

    Hi Guys n Gals

    I want to do something fairly straightforward but can find no help for it.i need to develop a home page carousel.

    now i want a macro which will pick the images from the a folder in media,and display them in the home page slider.

    as per the rewquirements i have to create a macro to fetch the images from the folder in media.and display them on the page.

    we are using the "flexslider" javascript to do the slider effect.

    need urgently

    Hi Aditya,

    A good place to start would be setting up a multi-node tree picker data-type to allow media items to be picked.  You can then put this data-type on your homepage and the user can pick as many or as few media items as they like to display in the carousel.  The XSLT part should be very straight forward for this once it's in place, but shout if you need help on that.

    can u provide the xslt with detailed informaiton like the name of picker i have to select..the name to be given to the controls and files etc

    i am new to umbraco..
