I guess you'll just need to add an extra <xsl:if> statement that checks whether the property's value is not empty

<xsl:if test="string(./data [@alias = 'propertyAlias'] != ''">
<xsl:value-of select="./data [@alias = 'propertyAlias']" />
</xsl:if>
