I have installed OP10 Multiple Media Picker package. But image description property is not showing up in datatype as shown in screenshots at package page
Got this issue, too. I created a custom textstring field in the File media type, but it's not showing up in the data type. It used to work in version 1.0 but seem to fail in 1.1.4.

I was using 1.1.4/jan with umbraco 7. So, I didn't face any issue. Also, Now instead of OP10 media picker, I am using Archetype package and having my own properties into that as it fulfills my requirements. Even you can check the same. here is the link.
Well, I added a custom property to the Image media type - and that worked for me. Just as it did for you. But I don't want that; I need a File type property. And that fails.

@hrg: As you probably already saw on GitHub, the issue where the Image description property wasn't showing up has been fixed.
@Jan Bengtsson: The point you are mentioning is that you can have properties for other media types, for example, the file type. I will try to provide a "Media Type Alias" selector so that you can define what types should be used in the next version. But I have a lot to do at the moment. I will post back here when I have added this.
