    How to create a multilingual site in Umbraco?

    I am currently using Umbraco 7.4.3. Alongwith a Multilingual site, Necessity is also a multilingual dropdown list. For every page user must be able to switch between languages. Currently, Japanese and English are the languages with Japanese as default language.

    Hi Mangirish,

    Try to use Vorto package, it creates exactly as you said dropdown list for each language - https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/vorto/

    OK Guys, I will try using it on a demo local site. But I was expecting an answer without using Vorto. Vorto is a good package, but a custom multilingual functionality would be an added advantage. I will notify you all after using Vorto. Thanks.

    Mangirish, we all recommended Vorto, because Vorto is tested and well done.

    You don't need to reinvent what already created, it's just my opinion.

    Thanks all. I am using Vorto currently. Translations are also happening as expected. Just one thing. I want to attach a dropdown which changes language on selection. How to implement it. Please reply. I am referring this link http://24days.in/umbraco/2014/razor-language-switcher/ This mentions creating a dropdown using razor and vorto. Please explain me further as to how to implement it in a more proper way.
