Umbraco 8 not using Angular 2?

I read somewhere that v8 was going to use Angular 2. I looked at the code and it's seems to be using Angular 1.1.x. Even an older version of 1.x.

Is the next version of Umbraco not going to use Angular 2?

Hello,

Angular 2 will not be part of Umbraco 8. Maybe Umbraco 9. See this blog: https://umbraco.com/follow-us/blog-archive/2014/11/4/umbraco-and-angular-20/
