    Can't get basic examine search working

    Hi,

    I have been following this guide: https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/reference/searching/examine/quick-start

    All the configuration seems to be already done in my installation, I copied and pasted the code onto the page and then searched using ?query=code and nothing has returned...?

    I have gone to examine management and tried to do a search there under External Searcher and nothing returns.

    How do I go about troubleshooting this?

    Ah, it looks like because I am logged in as a member, pages are hidden in the search because these pages are protected. I need to look into allowing logged in members to see their appropriate search results.

    Edit:

    All I needed was

      <ExamineSearchProviders defaultProvider="InternalSearcher">

    rather than external searcher!
