I'm getting up to speed with umbraco and am trying to get validation on an approach for allowing users create a collection of objects, then allowing users to perform a search over those objects.
The content authors will need to be able to create an address for wildflowers locations - pretty sure this is just going to be a custom rolled data type - but I also need to figure our some way to dynamically expand the page as they complete a listing - haven't looked into it but macro maybe?
Users will then come into the site and perform a search for flowers in their area - theres going to be a bit of geocoding happening to match things within their radius. This is the part that I really need guidance on, how do I get at the content the authors created to return only whats relevant.
Is this something that can be done without mercellio(sp)? I'd hate to bring a bazooka to a watergun fight. Any links to documentation would be stellar.
Creating product collections without mercellio
