I'm still fairly new to Umbraco so the answer to this may be obvious. If so, I apologize.
However, the Listview feature in Umbraco seems to be quite comprehensive and easy to use. Is it sufficient to operate a blog with? In other words, do I really need a blog plugin? I can see that the plugins have more features (tags, categories etc.) , but the Llistview seems to have enough features as-is.
I guess it depends on whether you want a full-featured blog, or just a clean repository of content items. I've used both, on different projects, and don't really prefer one over the other.
Benefit of list view is that it is a familiar UI for content editors, given that they see it in the media section too.
Benefit of a blog package is all the extra goodies like tags, categories etc, that you might otherwise have to build yourself.
Listview vs. Blog plugins
Hello,
I'm still fairly new to Umbraco so the answer to this may be obvious.
Or am I missing something?
Thank you.
