We are looking for a solution, using Umbraco that can manage the Google Places API Web Service. We have a responsive website that provides numerous company listings, on a city-by-city structure.
To ensure the site is fast-loading and the listing details are up-to-date, we would like to manage the API Web Service using a predefined call schedule (e.g. 1st day of week or/month) and subsequently save the results within Umbraco.
We do not require Google Places to auto-search for Places (listings) but to provide and maintain up-to-date information on the respective listings (Place IDs) in Umbraco.
Each listing will be identified using Google Places and the selected Place ID entered in Umbraco. The Place Details are to be auto-populated in Umbraco platform, together with:
▪ Place Images,
▪ Reviews, &
▪ User Star Ratings
