Sorting the CMs Node tree by type
is there a easy obvious way to set a tree sort order so it automagically ordr by say a doc type in the CMS Back Office

ie i have node called
- Parent Node
  - Node 1 type 1
  - Node 2 type 1
  - Node 3 type 2
  - Node 4 type 3
  - Node 5 types 1
however I want it to be
- Parent Node
  - Node 1 type 1
  - Node 2 type 1
  - Node 5 types 1
  - Node 3 type 2
  - Node 4 type 3
Any thoughts?
