I have limited public access to certain areas of the site - we use membership for members logins, etc. However now some areas need to be set back to public access, and it seems impossible to do so - the "Public Access" link for a page, which is used to set which groups can access the page only give "Single user protection" or "Role based protection" options but does not give the "No protection" option. Even if i remove the groups from the pages I cannot set them back to being normal unprotected pages.
Does anyone know how to do this or do i have to get all the content put in again?

There is an option like remove protection in pages if you want to make it public again in U7.
I could not see it - where would it be situated?

Just right click on node where you need to remove protection and make it public.Then click on public access where at last you got this option.
