I would like to create a forum as part of my Umbraco website but when I looked into packages or best practice results came short or the packages were very deprecated and not necessarily compatible with the version of Umbraco I am using (v7.12.3).

To noteThe forum would sit under the content tree (it is not the purpose of the site) and preferably sit within the Umbraco content tree.

Are there any standards popular to the community when implementing forum functionality.

I realise that this may not be very common in modern websites however I am very interested in how others have tackled the problem.

I can't help but assume this forum is constructed within Umbraco so if any moderators have any insight to how this is being done, that would be much appreciated.
