I would like to rename the build-in grideditors (Rich Text Editor, Image, Embed) to the Dutch words. I tried to change the names in "grid.editors.config.js" in the config folder but I don't see any changes.
Where do the names from the build-in editors come from?
Thanks for your reply but unfortunately the names still not change. I deleted the files in ~\ App_Data\TEMP\ClientDependency but the names do not change. Or is emptying this folder not enough?
No, just the default grideditors with no additions. The strange thing is dat I do see the changed names in de grid configuration setting. But they don't appear in the editor selecton window when adding new grid blocks.
In the row configuration I use "Allow all editors" by default.
I use Umbraco 7.15.2

Hi,
grid.editors.config.js is the right place to make change. Once you make change then changed text should also appear in Row configuration.
You can try updating ClientDependency.config version and they try.
Please let me know how it goes.

Hi Shaishav,

Have you added Doc type grid editor plugin or any other plugin that is overriding the default behaviour.
No, just the default grideditors with no additions. The strange thing is dat I do see the changed names in de grid configuration setting. But they don't appear in the editor selecton window when adding new grid blocks.

Have you 'touched' the Web.config file to pick up the changes in the .js file ?
I had to do this when creating new Grid layouts recently.
Thank you for the hints, but I still not can change the name of the built-in Grid editors. Has anyone done this successfully before?
is working on a reply...
