My site ( http://the8eas.ru ) on Umbraco redirects me on login.aspx?redir=%2finstall%2fdefault.aspx%3fredir%3dtrue%26url%3d%2fdefault.aspx , but it worked fine earlier .
I can't
authenticate with the correct login\pass. Because what happens this
error?
I had also got this error when the umbraco-installation did not match the version-number in the web.config. That's why I asked if anything changed in the web.config.
Redirect to login.aspx?redir=%2finstall%2fdefault.aspx%3fredir%3dtrue%26url%3d%2fdefault.aspx
Hi.

Sorry for my bad english.
Did anything changed in the web.config ?
UPDATE:
I had also got this error when the umbraco-installation did not match the version-number in the web.config. That's why I asked if anything changed in the web.config.
Glad you solved it,
Mirela.
I have not changed anything.
Have you cleared your cookies?
Try to clear cookies, restart the browser and surf to /umbraco/umbraco.aspx
Two other people tried to enter, they also failed
Hmm that's really weird...
I wrote to support web hosting, they said that nothing has changed.
I've seen this behaviour before. In my cases it was when the umbraco-installation did not match the version-number in the web.config.
To overcome this, clear the version-number in the web.config and just run the installer again.
HTH,
Peter
Peter, thank you!
Umbraco-installation is 4.0.4.1, but in web.config version-number is 4.0.4.2
Umbraco can independently change version-number? I don't change version-number.
Umbraco only changes version-number if you run the installer. And even then, it puts in the number of the version you have installed, not 1 higher.
Only thing I can think of is that someone must have edited the web.config file. (Or accidentally overwrote that file with another one?)
Glad you got it working again!
Peter
