umbraco 4.5 under ms sql 2000?

Does anybody experience running umbraco 4.5 under ms sql 2000?

I learned that in 4.5 version umbraco is dropping support for sql 2000 but i really want to know if there is a work around for this..

I encountered a minor syntax error during database install however I can complete the installation process as this issue described http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/27262

but i keep running into problem when save/publish/preview content as i raised a case here http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/27970

As i keep searching i found a similar case here http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/27855, like its a issue of database table creation failure, and i also found something interesting here http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/27530.

I really need to get the site up and running using sql 2000 since its the only database my company currently provides. I also tried to install a lower version of 4.04 but it doesnt support virtual directory which is the only installation method i can get.

    Please help...

    Thanks in advance.

As Niels stated in this post - our.umbraco.org/.../9697-Umbraco-41-beta-2-can't-be-installed-with-ms-sql-2000- we will not be supporting SQL Sever 2000 as it ended Microsoft support 2 years ago.

Sorry if i asked a wrong question. i totally understand how important it is to make a develop decision like this, but i just want to know if someone smart enough to figure it out.

or should i ask: if there is a version out there to support both virtual directory and sql 2000?

    Thanks.
