umbraco 4.5 on vista: only top level nodes of sections visible
Hello,
I installed v4.5 on vista, got thru the install routine but when I launch the back-office I have only the top level node of each section available, e.g Developer, Settings, etc, but NOT the child nodes.
When I click the top level node the children are not populated. What's wrong? Permissions?
My web is installed as a root web and the entire folder structure has Network service permissions.
P.S: I installed also on WIN2k3 without problems but I need to run it on vista as well.
I found the issue. In another thread I had read about blocked files in Vista and initially I just unblocked all JS files which didn't help.
However, then I reinstalled the entire site and unzipped with PKZIP and all files were extracted in a unblocked manner. I re-ran the installation and everything works fine.
You probbaly could also unzip the installation file on another windows system (XP, Win2k3, etc) and copy the files from there.
