Running the Umbraco web application locally

    Dear Umbraco,

I installed Umbraco 4.5 (v450.zip) and set it up as a web application in IIS

I can get to the Umbraco login page if I go to  http://localhost/U/Umbraco/

But when I go to the root http://localhost/U I just get a blank page

How can I configure this or make it load something more interesting than that ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Yovav

What happens when you type in http://localhost/U/default.aspx.

In IIS it might also be worth checking what the default documents are?

    Thanks

    Eddie

    Hi Yovav

What happens when you go to http://localhost/U/umbraco/umbraco.aspx

If you can login, it sounds like you may need to create and publish a page.

    Thanks

    Eddie

or how do I find out where is the default.aspx points to ? (it's a URL rewite - right ?)
