I thought I would try it out and I installed it using the Microsoft Web Platform Installer...I was told "Congratulations" Umbraco has successfully installed, and then....um...cant find it anywhere?
I thought it might be on the local host? I thought it ought to be there - if so can someone please tell me the normal url for that?
Usually Web PI ask where you'd like to install web-applications.
I believe the default location is still C:\Inetpub\wwwroot - but if you've already got a website there - then it should ask you where.
Check in IIS, see what websites you have listed in there. Which version of IIS are you using? (just need to rule out that you're not using Win XP/IIS 5.1 - because you're only allowed a single website on that set-up)
