We experiencing delays in server response time from our Umbraco (ver. 4.0.2.1) based site which is running on

IIS7.

The problem is the delay in response time is not consistent. Some time the page loads within 4 seconds but on several other occasions the browser status displays waiting for server response for up to 40 seconds before the page starts to load.

 We are wondering if the problem is with IIS7 as the response from the development server is very consistent where the same site is hosted on IIS6.
