I'm giving local development a try, looking to work locally on updates to the structure of my Umbraco site. I have a copy of the site on my local hard drive and point to a copy of the database out on the network. Response time is super super dog slow! It takes at least 3 minutes to load anything. Any ideas where the bottleneck could be occuring?

Can be a lot of different things, can you try to do some queries by using your Sql Management Studio and see or that's also slow?
