    Upgrade from v3 to 4.5

Hello, is it possible to use v3 templates style in v4.5?

One client ask me to upgrade v3 site to newer version, because it like to use contour .

    Thanks

And of course, will be contour working correctly with old template style?

I doubt contour would work with the v3-style templates. Why don't you just upgrade the templates as you upgrade the rest of the app?

The old templates are hardly much different from using the masterpages, can I ask why the customer is so attached to that style?

There's no v3 style templates in v4. Upgrading to 4.5 was a breeze for me, particularly using these two links.

    Hi,

It's old site, and customer is happy with it. Now he wants to add captcha to form and buy contour, before checking his site umbraco version. And he now want upgrade with minimal budget, so I want make as few changes as possible :-)

I want to use useAspNetMasterPages settings in umbraco settings set to false

Well, you can insert a contour macro into a rich text editor, so you should be fine there. But I have no idea if that setting will do what you think it does.. Good luck! ;-)

    Thanks for replays,

upgrade is OK, I have only 2 minor problems:

    - upgrade wizard need write access to web.config even I already had umbracoDbDSN set correctly

    - Media instead media in umbracoAppTree http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/29139
