When setting permissions on a shared hosting account (SoftSys) it is quite cumbersum and time consuming to go through each fodler and set the write permissions.
Is there any danger/issues setting write access on the entire web directory?
ok, but it seems like there are only a couple of unimportant folders that aren't given permission. I don't mind setting the permissions individually if there is some point to it but that doesn't appear to be the case?
Yes, looking at the list, there are only a few trivial folders left that don't get write permissions, basically, if an admin of the site would want to destroy it, they are more than capable of doing that anyway. But I am not a security expert and might be missing something... :-)

I don't think there is much of a risk, but it's not best practice..
Can you not use some kind of script or have the hoster execute that script for you?
