This topic has been covered in a few other threads, but I can't see that any of them have been resolved:
I've set Umbraco up by downloading the binaries for 4.5.0 from codeplex, configured the Web Site and Application Pool in IIS 7, and then navigated to the default page. Here I see the Next button, but something's not right - the progress bar is already displayed, and next to it is an 'x' which looks like it's a hyperlink, but clicking does nothing. Nor does clicking Next do anything.
Thus I am unable to proceed with the setup.
Looking under the covers in Chrome, it appears that an internal error is occurring while trying to access /install/DependencyHandler.axd. This handler doesn't actually exist. Is this my fault, have I missed a step, or has this been omitted from the /builds zip?
I can confirm the following necessary steps have been taken:
App_Data/ClientDepency/ exists (it's empty) and NETWORK SERVICE has full rights.
The application pool is running v4.0.30319 in integrated pipeline mode.
The Process Model Identity is NetworkService.
I'm using v4.5.0.
I'm running Win7 / IIS7.
Can anyone suggest what I have done wrong, or what I need to do to get past this step in the setup wizard?
Here's a screenshot of the slightly odd-looking Next button. Notice also that everything is against the left-edge of the page, whereas in a couple of setup videos I've watched, this appears centred. http://screencast.com/t/NNw74JwoIJ
This is my first time using Umbraco and so far it hasn't been a great experience. I'm a Sitecore developer in my job and given the similarities I want to use Umbraco for a couple of hobby projects (and of course, to add another string to the bow). Naturally, being unable to even get it running is a huge frustration so I really hope someone out there can tell me what's gone wrong and how to correct it.

Hey Andrew
I asume that the problem is now solved, according to this post http://our.umbraco.org/forum/getting-started/installing-umbraco/9903-Next-button-does-not-work-when-installing-41-RC-on-W7-IIS-75?p=0
I can understand your frustration but now that you are soon up and running I think and hope that you'll fall a little bit in love with Umbraco.
If there is something positive or negative, use the forum and follow the #umbraco hastag on twitter...people really love to help one out.
Cheers
/Jan
Yup, just for the record, I wrote in the other thread (http://our.umbraco.org/forum/getting-started/installing-umbraco/9903-Next-button-does-not-work-when-installing-41-RC-on-W7-IIS-75) that I had moved things on simply by recycling the app pool.
is working on a reply...
