    cannot create new content

    Installing umbraco

    hello there,

     

    I am completely newbie to umbraco. I can do a few things but although everything works fine on my localhost, as soon as I move everything to hosting server when I log in I can only see basic interface but no folders. Please have a look at the picture, this is what I get:

    Any ideas? Is it hosting or me?

    Looks like a permissions error to me. I would double check them. Rich

    thanks a lot Rich but what permissions do you mean and how to change them (and what should they be?)

    The required folder permissions are listed on this page but, in theory, you shouldn't have had a clean installation if there was a problem with any of them. Did you have any problems installing on the live servier? Double-check anyhow.

    I tired to sort it out but luckly I got some support from eukhost and they sort it out for me. according to them permissions needed to be change as well as some dns setttings.
