Not sure what's happening but when I try to install a
clean version of Umbraco locally, it states that the default password
has already been updated previously.
I've manged to login with
an admin username and password from an old dev site. Which is strange
as the database and site files have been deleted. There are another 4
Umbraco installs, which appear to be fine.
Any thoughts on how I can clean up the database server.
Have tried another install for a new project (using WPI), but each time the password has already been updated. The config file, points to the correct db.
Think I'll try and remove some of the older sights, and see if this helps.
After backing up and removing all exsiting sites, the default name was still changed on a fresh install. So I went for brute force, and removed SQL express and installed a fresh version. All now works, and I can install multiple sites again. I've a feeling it was to do with the Umbraco database for 4.5.2. All other install where running 4.0.4.2..
Adim password from deleted site

How do you install Umbraco? Manually or with Web pi or?
Hi Daniel,
Installed via the WPI.
Thanks
Eddie
And you made a new database etc? :)
Can it be that your web.config is still pointing to an existing database?
Hi All,
Still no joy with this.
Have tried another install for a new project (using WPI), but each time the password has already been updated. The config file, points to the correct db.
Think I'll try and remove some of the older sights, and see if this helps.
Please let me know if I should try anything else.
Thanks,
Eddie
