    What is the final receommendation for custom 404 under Win2008/IIS 7.x in Shared Hosting Env

    Hi,

    I have read through most of the posts talking about this issue with IIS7.x  and error codes. E.g. http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/24786?ProjectName=umbraco

    SO,.... I have a client's website in Shared Hosting Environment and can't change the applicationHost.config.

    I just want to issue a custom 404 page once in a while .... how do I do that? The site is a umbraco 4.5.2 site, the server Win2008 under IIS 7.5.

    Did I miss something in the posts which is a simple fix w/o changing code files? And if I have to change code files... how many, which ones?
