    Install issues with WPI

    Hi all,

     

    I'm literally at the end of my tether today - tried to post this on the IIS forums, but there's some serious technical issue when I try to sign up... Annoying! Anyway, I'm desperately trying to install a local version of Umbaco to play around with, nothing more. I've made sure that I have SQL Server 2008 standard and that I've updated VS 2008 to SP1, but whenever I try to download Umbraco via the WPI, it comes up with this...

    And I've pasted the log file below. What the heck is the Web Deployment tool 1.1, and why the heck does it die when I try to download it? And surely my install of SQL Server 2008 standard has already installed the native client and management objects?? I've cleared out my %temp% folder incase there was some partial download it kept referring to, but still no joy...

    Anyone who could point me in the right direction? Have I got a random corrupted dll floating about or something?? Any help massively appreciated, thanks in advance!
