    Moving Server / Deployment

    Hi all, I am having real problems moving a site from my developement machine to a different machine. I am struggling to find any documentation or process to follow.

    I have tried simply copying the DB and files and then changing web.config but cant login to /ummbraco/

    Hi Andy,

    Did you set the file permissions on the target machine? and can you access the database with the credentials you've set in the web.config file?

    Hi I have now managed to move my instalation to 2 new machines. Problem was caused with the SQL restore and then user permissions being correctly set. had to delete and recreate the user after restore.
