    404 Upon deploying website to staging server

    Hi,

    I have been building a website using Umbraco on the DEV server and now I copied all the files and config from teh DEV server to the STAGING server. I have set up the website in IIS in exactly the same manner as I have done on the DEV server.

    Inspite of all this when I browse to the site on the STAGING server I get a 404 error. I have checked teh config for any IP restrictions and I cant find anything.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    check your folder permissions

    I agree, most common error when running backup/restore procedures.
