With the razor stuff there is dynamic going on which is part of .net4 so not sure if there will be 3.5 that said im not on the core team so just taking an educated guess ;-}
I think Niels tweeted something the other day saying that because of all the .Net 4 stuff that's in 4.6+, going forward, there won't be 3.5 support out of the box. That said, you could always download the release build when it comes out and modify it so that it runs on 3.5 if you wanted to I guess.
Umbraco uses a lot of features (as Ismail already mentiond, dynamics.razor etc)which are introduced in .net 4.0. Downgrading will not work when you want to have these features.
4.7 and .NET Framework 3.5
Will there be a 3.5 version of Umbraco 4.7 final release?

Has anyone managed to downgrade a 4.7 umbraco from .Net 4 to .Net 3.5 ?
I will most likley need to do this on a site since the planed hosting company don't currently provide/support .Net 4.0.
Has nobody even tried to downgrade a umbraco 4.7 from .NET 4 to .NET 3.5 ?
I could do with knowing this too at the moment.
