FYI: Upgrade from Umbraco 4.7RC to 4.7 Final - No nodes in backend
Hi everyone,
After manually upgrading from 4.7RC to final I found that no nodes were present in the backend, not only content nodes but ALL nodes from every section, just like the entire DB had been swiped out.
The upgrade consisted of copying the bins, umbraco, umbraco-client, configs and referecing the new dlls just like I had done from 4.6.1 to 4.7RC, no need to change the web.config because the 4.7 settings were already there.
Remainig calm I re-ran the install and backend was restored to 100%.
Don't know if I was lucky or was the correct thing to do but it worked for me.
Happy coding and congrats to the Dev team for what seems to be again a stable product :)
