    Developer > Packages empty

    Hi,

    I'm testing an upgrade from 4.5.2 to 4.7. For the most part everything's working but I had no "Installed Packages" option under Developer > Packages (the other options were still there). Following the advice from another forum post I copied App_Data\packages\installed\installedPackages.config over from my 4.5.2 installation, but now the entire Developer > Packages folder is empty.

    The weird thing is that Packages is still empty even if I put the original installedPackages.config back in there!

    Does anyone know what's going on here?

    Aha! I should've tried a few more things before posting because I've figured it out.

    When I copied the installedPackages.config, it lost its permissions and IIS/ASP.Net wasn't able to read it. I set the permissions correctly and everything is working now :)

    That one is a classic (the loss of permissions when copying) - Glad you managed to figure it out :-)
