i downloaded the web deploy package, but when i'm trying to create new umbraco site from the iis manager, by "inport application", there is some problem that solved only when i manually modify the foldr permissions. the same thing happen when i'm trying to install it from the microsoft web app gallery. this is not happens when i'm install it from web matrix.
as i understand, the web deploy package is the same package that installs umbraco from the microsoft web app gallery. so my question is, "is the web deploy package is suited only for installation on iis express?" (web matrix is using iis express).
after checking few things i'm now almost sure that this is the answer is yes, the web deploy package is suitable for iis express only. i'm guess that with a little modification it is possible to customize is to fit also for regular installations.
