    Setting the media directory to a folder above the web root

    Hi

    I am aware of the appSetting for setting an alternate location for the media directory.

    Can anyone confirm whether this will handle a physical file path e.g C:\\foo ?

    In addition is it possible to specify a network share?

    I'm trying to set up an environment where by editors will create the media using the physical location, and ideally the development environment would access the same media via the network share.

    Is this possible? How do others do this?
