Changing default user permissions in AD authentication

    Hello all,

I'm running Umbraco 4.7.0 on IIS7 which I've configured successfully to work with Active Directory security based on the steps here. It works great, there's just one problem:

    ---

The newly logged in user has no access to anything, which is working as intended. However, I would like to configure Umbraco in such a way that it can detect the permissions. If I for example created an AD group called "Umbraco.Developers" that one of the developers logs on and automatically has "developer" permissions.

I understand the setup of these groups/permissions will have to be done initially, but this way I can avoid having every user contact the admin to grant him the necessary permissions. Also, this way the permissions would not be duplicated in AD and Umbraco itself - again, so it can be maintained by a single person with the least intervention required.

    ---

Any thoughts or suggestions are highly appreciated.
