I found that during an install of Umbraco 4.7 the skinning step could not be completed with a message saying
"Oops...the installer can't connect to the repository
Starter Kits could not be fetched from the repository as there was no connection"
No big deal as I probably wanted a blank installation anyway.
Except that I have found some items not working. For example, it seems that I can create a mamber type but then that type is not showing under the 'Member Types' section of the 'Members' tree. Similarly, I can create a member but they also do not show under the 'Members' part of the 'Members' tree. When I try to expand the tree is shows a loading icon ans message and then nothing displays.
Also, I noticed that the 'Packages' part of the Developer section has no content.
Am I missing something? Is the skinning step of the installation doing some critical work?
