Moving to a new server session problem?

    Hello all,

I have recently moved my umbraco installation (v 4.7.0) to a new server.

Everything seems fine and I can see the site no problem however I can no longer log in to the admin sections.

I set up a trace within SQL Server and can see that the site can connect and insert into the database.

When I deliberatly use wrong credentials I get the shaking input boxes with a red border.

When I use correct crednetials I stay on the login page but do not get the shaking input boxes with a red border warning me of an error.

I also see no error is the diagnostics panel in Windows.

Has anyone else had this problem? Seems very starnge to me :S

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Scott

Have you verified that the server has full rights to /umbraco ?

    Hello Daniel,

Yes all permissions are correct. Could this be an issues related to time? I did change the time on the server as a test and then changed it back again :S

Could this be the issue? How could I correct it?

    Thanks

When you moved the site, did you copy the cache also..

Try removing the ClientDependancy cache  (/app_data/TEMP/ClientDependacy/*)

I have removed the cache however this does not seem to have made any difference :(

Could by changing the server time I have somehow messed up an entry in the DB which is required by umbraco?

Possibly.. never had that issue before... Can you change the time to the same as previous server?
