Moving existing site to umbraco installation

    Hi guys

I am all new to umbraco, and just got my first client today.

I have what may be a newbie question, but I am kind of stuck on this one and could use some help :)

My client has an existing site, but now i have to redesign it and implement it in umbraco.

I was thinking that I would host it at Unoeuro.com, but I am not sure how i should redirect the domain to the unoeuro after finishing the site?

Can i just buy some random domain at unoeuro, and then point the clients domain to this afterwords or what?

Really hope someone can help me out with this one :)

    Martin

    Hey Martin,

Congrats on your first Umbraco client!

Usually any reputable host will give you a temporary domain name to host your site on, something like domainhost.12381238098.com

Then you can just move your clients domain, or point the domain to the new site when it's ready.

    Best of luck

    Rich

In the UnoEuro controlpanel you can find you temporary domain name under "Produkt" -> "Administration". It's called "Midlertidig URL".

Congrats on choosing Umbraco AND UnoEuro... you'll love both of them! :o)

    Best regards,
