The admin site is not displaying correctly. The login box is left-aligned instead of centred and some styling is lost. When I log in, the admin is completely unusable and the display is totally wrong. It looks like the CSS is not getting picked up. None of the buttons & links work.
It all works fine on my dev machine (Win 7) but when promoted to the live server (Win Svr 2008) I get the problem. It also works OK on another dev box. I am deploying by copying the entire umbraco installation to the server. I am accessing this site using a subdomain for the moment. I already have another Umbraco installation on the server and I'm using a separate database for each. The other one is fine. I'm using umbraco v 4.7.0 on .NET 4.0 with separate application pools.
Any ideas are very welcome as the client is waiting...

Hi Daniel,
Before I also faced same problem. I checked the directory permissions and changed as mentioned here http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/how-tos/installing-umbraco-461-on-plesk-shared-host. It works fine.
Thanks

Thanks Pasang.
I'm not using Plesk but you set me on the right track with permissions. As a result I found this article on how to set permissions with a script:
