    After moving umbraco site and database to a new computer it looks strange

    Hi,

     

    after copied the site files in wwwroot folder to a new computer and restored the database i got this strange view.

    Also the ImageGen stopped working

    Can you please assist me.

    Hi Kristian

    What steps did you take in moving the site to a new machine? And what version of Umbraco are we dealing with here?

    Have you checked the following

    • That the permissions set on the Umbraco folder are correct (network service and iusr)
    • That the app pool in IIS is set to integrated mode
    • That the temporary files in the clientdependency folder has been deleted? (app_data/TEMP/ClientDependency)

    Hi Jan,

    I deleted the files, didn't help.

    I've checked the App pool, I had the correct settings.

    I've checked the security. Changed it to write permissions and added the user IUSR. WORKED!!!
