I'm having a problem with an Umbraco 4.7.1 website that's breaking down. It became extremely slow and half the time it won't load at all.
Problems started after some simple content editing by the client.
The server gives me these errors "A process serving application pool 'site' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service." and "Application pool 'site' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool." Also, Umbraco.Config doesn't get build properly and backoffice is next to inaccessible.

I'm having a problem with an Umbraco 4.7.1 website that's breaking down. It became extremely slow and half the time it won't load at all.

Regrettably, we haven't got a working backup.
Any tips on where to look?
